The Youth Power Group will have an afternoon of entertainment as it gets together to enjoy the movie Saving God, starring Ving Rhames. If you are between the ages of 13 and 25, you are welcome to come and join us! The movie will be shown Saturday, October 31st at 4:00pm.
Synopsis:
Who will save God for the souls who have lost Him? Ving Rhames plays Armstrong Cane, an
ex convict who after many years in prison finally returns home a changed man. Decided to
talk about God's word to anyone who will listen, he looks to take over his father's old church.
Despite the dangers posed by his neighborhood full of drugs and gangs, Cane refuses to give
in to the threats of Blaze (Dean McDermott), a dangerous gang leader. He continues to talk
about God, focusing especially on Norris, a youth whom he finds on the verge of falling into a
lifetime of bad choices. Watch how the suspense builds up as this young man is forced to
ponder about his choices and where each will lead him.
